WORLD CANCER DAY

What does World Cancer Day mean? World Cancer Day takes place on February 4 every year, and under the leadership of UICC, members, partners and the whole world unite to fight against the global cancer epidemic.

WHAT IS WORLD CANCER DAY?

UICC aims to prevent millions of preventable deaths by raising awareness and education about cancer on Cancer Day. It also calls on governments and individuals to take action against cancer.

WORLD CANCER DAY 2018 Slogan: WE CAN, I CAN

The three-year  Day campaign ‘We can, I can’ explores how everyone, together or individually, can help reduce the global cancer burden. In this direction, on  Day, where the main theme of this year is “supporting sports and physical activity”, the message is given that everyone can do everything that can be done against cancer, from prevention to treatment, from individuals to society, from civil society to official organizations.
