Mastercard announces NFT designed credit cards

According to the announcement made by Mastercard, Bored Ape and Moonsbirds NFT owners will be able to print the images of their NFTs on their credit cards.

Mastercard is one of the companies that show interest in the NFT and Blockchain sector. The payment giant, which has made investments and technological infrastructure steps in the crypto sector, has taken a more entertainment-oriented step this time. Users will be able to add the designs of their NFTs to the front of their credit cards. Collaboration was made with a company called Hi for NFT designed cards. Speaking on the subject, Christian Ra, Vice President of Crypto and Fintech at Mastercard, said:

“As consumer interest in crypto and NFTs continues to grow, we are committed to making them an accessible payment option for communities that want to use them. We are proud to work with Hi to continue to innovate in the market and enable these customizable cards with the safety and security you would expect from Mastercard.”

In addition to real currencies, stablecoins and cryptocurrencies can also be used for purchases made with Hi credit cards. However, in order to do this, the payment places must be Mastercard compatible and accept crypto.
